Release Stress, Embrace Rest

Clearview Retreat

20th – 22nd October 2017

It seems that being stressed has become almost normal in our society. Our busy days are often spent moving from one event to the next without time to take a breath in between. As we approach the busy end of year period this is a good time to stop and prepare by learning more about stress and how to manage it effectively.  Over this weekend we will take a break from our hectic schedules to let go of both physical and mental stress and move to a more rested and relaxed state. Practices will include flowing sequences of yoga postures to release and work through tension, restorative yoga, meditation and relaxation to fully relax and restore body and mind. We will also discuss of how and why stress affects us and learn simple yet effective stress relief techniques to manage ongoing stress for permanent life changes and improved physical and mental health.

I am thinking of booking your Feb retreat at clearview for myself and my mum. My mum has never practised yoga so is a total beginner however has practised meditation. Would the retreat be suitable?

      Hi Charlotte,
What a lovely idea, it is lovely for mothers and daughters to share a retreat exprience together. It works better if students have some yoga experience at retreats simply because complete beginners require more instruction and most people who come to retreats have some experience. I do have some students coming who have only a little experience so I’d be more than happy for you to both come along if you can take your mum to a couple of beginner level classes beforehand. My teaching style is very broad so suitable for beginners through to those with more experience.
Hope to see you in February,
